George Shahinian
George is a senior partner of Economos Chartered Accountants and a Director of Econ Financial Services. He offers significant insight into value creation and risk management, particularly for small to medium enterprises. With over 25 years in the accountancy profession, George brings to the committee expertise in areas of business and corporate advisory, taxation and strategic planning. He has also been instrumental in helping his clients through the challenges experienced by new businesses in their early stages. George is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Master’s Degree in Business, is ASIC RG 146 compliant and a registered Tax Agent.
Thomas Bombotas
Thomas currently services as the Chief Operating Officer of the Econ Capital Group. In this role he has a diverse range of responsibilities, including serving as a Private Investment Fund Director and Trustee, overseeing the management of the group’s mortgage and healthcare property funds, managing the debt funding process, leading capital raising and investor onboarding, and ensuring compliance.
Thomas has over 20 years experience in advising private businesses on how to achieve their financial performance goals and manage risk associated with tax and the changing economic environment.
Thomas is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Adviser and registered Tax Agent. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting.
Theo Groutsis
As head of Sales and distribution of the Econ Capital Group, Theo is responsible for increasing funds under management.
After 30 years in the real estate industry he brings a unique set of skills to the role and a practical hands on perspective to the investment products we offer and are developing for our customers.
Above all else he is a people person committed to service and is the best person to reach out to with any queries about what Econ Capital does.
Outside of work you can find him walking his dog Max, having breakfast with his family on the weekend or supporting his beloved Parramatta Eels.
Theo is a licensed real estate agent and member of the Property Council of Australia.
